Andreas Lanz was born and raised in Zug, Switzerland. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Zurich. During his studies, Andreas gained work experience in various industries including banking, recruiting, non-profit, sports and entertainment. After having earned a Master of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Zurich, Andreas joined the Chair of Quantitative Marketing and Consumer Analytics at the University of Mannheim in September 2013 as a PhD student. His research interests lie primarily in understanding phenomena occurring in online social networks. In cooperation with SoundCloud, the world’s leading social sound platform, he is currently investigating the emergence of fame.
